ALTHOUGH WE DEVELOPED SEVEN UNIQUE CONCEPTS FOR CONSIDERATION, WE INTUITIVELY KNEW THAT OUR ‘UNBROKEN’ CONCEPT, FEATURING A DECONSTRUCTED TRIDENT FROM THE LOGO, WOULD PROVIDE THE STRONGEST CONCEPTUAL / NARRATIVE TIE-IN. THE FRACTURED PIECES OF THE TRIDENT SERVE AS VISUAL METAPHORS FOR PERCY’S CHARACTER; INITIALLY FEELING BROKEN AND INCOMPLETE, BUT THEN DRAMATICALLY MADE WHOLE THROUGH A COMBINATION OF POWER AND STRENGTH.

ELECTRIC BLUE ENERGY STREAKS PULSE THROUGH THE TRIDENT’S CORE, SIGNIFYING SOMETHING OTHER-WORLDLY AND POWERFUL BENEATH THE SURFACE. EACH TEXT CARD GIVES A NOD TO THE MYTHOLOGICAL ORGINS OF THE SERIES AS GREEK LETTERS BEGIN ANIMATING ON, ONLY TO BE QUICKLY REPLACED BY PROMO MESSAGING. THE GRAPHICS SHOWCASE THE PROGRESSION OF THE TRIDENT’S BUILD WITH EACH SUBSEQUENT TITLE CARD, PULLING CLOSER AND CLOSER TOGETHER UNTIL IT BECOMES FULLY REALIZED IN THE MAIN TITLE RESOLVE.

AS A FINAL BONUS, DISNEY ALLOWED US TO CUSTOMIZE THEIR SIGNATURE ‘DISNEY+’ CARDS WITH PULSATING ELECTRICITY, INTEGRATING THEM INTO THE OVERALL DESIGN AESTHETIC.
